System requirements
Grafikhuset Publi PDF is designed for 32-bit Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows 2000/2003 Terminal Servers. Grafikhuset Publi PDF does also run perfectly well on Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008, but the new UAC features must currently be turned completely OFF during installation (see the Windows Vista Security Guide for details). Otherwise installation on both these new UAC enabled platforms will fail.
Grafikhuset Publi PDF fully supports the Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server 3.0, and the unattended queue mode does not cause any known problems with »seamless« clients, neither on »thick« nor »thin« workstations. However, attended queues may hang a »seamless« terminal session if a started Publi PDF monitor is not properly stopped by the application that starts it (via ActiveX). It is entirely up to the calling front-end application to assure that a situation like this does not occur.
At present the GroupNameMapping queue configuration facility, which is used to map a users membership of specific Windows NT User Groups into an output file path, may not work as intended on systems running Active Directory only. Grafikhuset is working heavily to enhance this feature to fully support membership of Organizational Units, which currently is only partly supported.
It's highly recommended to use as powerful computers as possible though Publi PDF is expected to run on all modern Windows computers with the above mentioned operating systems.
Grafikhuset Publi PDF is not guaranteed to work on 64-bit Windows versions because small assembly code snippets designed for 32-bit Windows may cause GPF's on 64-bit Windows. Grafikhuset expect to release an edition for 64-bit Windows some time in the future.
