The Publi PDF Service Component (PubliPDF.exe) is wrapping true Windows NT Service functionality around the core Publi PDF engine, QueueMonDLL.dll. Upon service start the Publi PDF Service Component starts any unattended queues that are configured to run on the computer upon which the Publi PDF Service is run.
Key features
The Publi PDF Service key features are:
- Runs Publi PDF as a Windows NT Service
- Runs all Publi PDF Queues in unattended mode
- Only one configuration file is required for all servers in a farm
- Full Citrix support
The Publi PDF Service Component can be installed as a Windows NT Service with the Publi PDF Service Installer.

Known problems
If an unattended queue for whatever reason stops executing arriving print jobs, it may happen that neither the Windows NT Service Control Manager nor Publi PDF Service Installer can stop or restart the Publi PDF NT Service component. The resolution is to open the Windows Task Manager, and via the Processes list kill the PubliPDF.exe instance.
After doing so both the Windows NT Service Control Manager and Publi PDF Service Installer can start the Publi PDF NT Service component again.
