Legal issues
Grafikhuset Publi PDF is dependent on at least one of the below mentioned PostScript interpreters. Each interpreter has specific terms of use, and it's your responsibility to assure that your use with Publi PDF does not violate any such terms of use.

Although older versions of Ghostscript are supported it's NOT recommended to use them with Grafikhuset Publi PDF. GPL Ghostscript 8.63 or later is the recommended Ghostscript edition to use.
Because it's very easy to set-up a configuration with Publi PDF that violates the license terms of the commercial interpreter products Acrobat Distiller and Jaws PDF Creator, Grafikhuset generally recommends that Publi PDF is used with GPL Ghostscript 8.63 or later. A special benefit with Ghostscript is that Ghostscript is an Open Source project, and Artifex Software and artofcode LCC offer a 32-bit Windows installer completely free of charge. Download it from http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=1897 or ftp://mirror.cs.wisc.edu/pub/mirrors/ghost/GPL (/gs860/gs860w32.exe for the latest compiled 8.60 version).
GPL Ghostscript 8.63 or later is a very high quality and stable interpreter that can handle almost any PDF conversion need. However, there are situations where it is necessary to use Acrobat Distiller or Jaws PDF Creator instead of Ghostscript, for example in some specialized graphic workflows. This is in particular true if the original name of fonts with TrueType outlines needs to be preserved into the PDF documents. Also, when file names contain DBCS characters (Japanese, Chinese etc.) Publi PDF might fail with Ghostscript because of a current limitation in the way Publi PDF communicate with Ghostscript.
