Grafikhuset Publi PDF is a feature-rich PDF creator of industrial strength that provide the means you need to effectively create print-ready and press-ready PDF documents in a very automated way.
The included Publi PDF Optimizer plug-in implements support for color conversion according to pre-defined color maps, insertion of crop marks etc, scaling and many other useful things. The Optimizer plug-in is especially designed to make conversion into press-ready PDF documents from applications like MS Office, MapInfo, ArcView, Adobe Framemaker and similar applications that uses the Windows print kernel and therefore cannot transfer CMYK or spot colors to PDF documents without external assistance.
The included Publi PDF Stamper plug-in implements support for automated stamping, insertion of water marks, letter heads etc.
Currently Grafikhuset Publi PDF can be licensed in 4 different ways:

Grafikhuset Publi PDF is basically a print queue monitor that redirects print jobs to third-party conversion components such as Ghostscript (from Artifex Software), Acrobat Distiller (from Adobe Systems) or Jaws PDF Creator (from Global Graphics). It cannot function without at least one of these components, and it's base functionality vary with each.
The most flexible configurations can be built when both GPL Ghostscript 8.63 and Acrobat Distiller is installed, but in most cases only Ghostscript is required, and in some cases license restrictions prohibit the use of both Acrobat Distiller and/or Jaws PDF Creator with Grafikhuset Publi PDF. Publi PDF is especially designed to honor automation requirements. It can be set-up to run as a NT Service in a completely unattended environment. It fully supports stand-alone Windows 2000/XP computers, Windows 200X Terminal Servers with or without Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server on top, and its queues can be reconfigured at runtime without the need for service restarts. A single configuration file can be shared between all servers in a Windows farm, and a huge amount of user-specific variables can determine where to output conversion results.
Various plug-ins makes it possible to set-up automated color conversion via pre-defined color maps, apply water marks and letter heads etc. In addition, Publi PDF offers a complete ActiveX interface that allow for custom implementations into custom-built applications. Both attended and unattended queues can be set-up and controlled from e.g. MS Office VBA macros.
Grafikhuset Publi PDF is written in Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 to assure full compatibility with VBA object types such as the VB Collection and Collection Class objects. The VB source code can be licensed.
WARNING: When you become familiar with Publi PDF and have fully understood the flexibility it provides, it's really easy to be tempted to use it for purposes NOT covered by the license agreements for Acrobat Distiller or Jaws PDF Creator. Do NOT do that. Instead, use Grafikhuset Publi PDF with GPL Ghostscript 8.63 for such purposes, in which case you will NOT violate any license restriction you may not be aware of (carefully read the GPL license agreement here).
